What does P1308 mean?
P-code P1308 means "EGR Calibration Fault". It is a manufacturer-specific diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in the emissions system. A calibration or relearn procedure is required for the egr calibration fault before normal operation can resume. This code can be monitored, but service is recommended to prevent escalation. This code applies to OBD-II compliant electric and hybrid vehicles.
Possible Causes
- Component replacement without performing the required calibration procedure
- Battery disconnect or power interruption cleared calibration data
- Software update changed calibration parameters
- Mechanical adjustment required after part replacement or repair
Recommended Actions
- 1 Note the alert and schedule a diagnostic appointment when convenient
- 2 Scan for all DTCs with an OBD-II scanner โ note any related codes stored alongside P1308
- 3 Perform the required calibration or relearn procedure using a compatible scan tool
