Why does the exact Tesla alert ID matter?

Record the exact alert ID, including underscores, suffixes, and companion alerts. Tesla alerts that look similar can point to different modules, timestamps, and service procedures.

What does HVP-W006 mean?

Tesla warning code in the High Voltage Protection (HVP) module. Warns if the pack charge current is above max charge current limit The pack charge current is above max charge current limit for X duration (in msec) The pack charge current is below max charge current limit The DC charging will end and contactors may open immdediately or pyro may disconnect Warns if the CP ECU has faulted These charging will not be allowed Sets if an HVIL fault is detected. Contactors cannot close (car will no longer drive) if the contactors are currently open. If no repairs were performed and the alert clears on its own, there is risk of reoccurrence. The HVIL is broken or HVIL nodes are lower than expected Contactors will not close, it may open if vehicle not in drive Warn if pack contactor enter to the BLOCKED state Warns if the Energy reserve voltage supply is below minimum voltage threshold The Energy reserve voltage supply is below minimum voltage threshold The Energy reserve voltage supply is above minimum voltage threshold The pyro diagnostics may fail, the contactors will not close warn if harware triggers to blow the pyro This is an indication that pyro was blown The HVP config block may be missing, incorrect, or unsupported The HVP is unable to initialize configuration parameters
