What the BC system covers

BC alerts belong to Tesla's proprietary diagnostic alert system and are grouped under the network category.

Read all active alerts together instead of diagnosing a single code in isolation.
Check recent service, firmware updates, and low-voltage battery condition.
Use Tesla Service or a qualified EV technician for safety-critical systems.

Code Severity Type Description
BC_w001
BC_w001_leftIndicatorFail
Warning Warning
BC_w001 - left Indicator Fail

Tesla warning code in the BC (BC) module. The left indicator is not functioning as expected and may be flashing faster than normal. If a fault (open, short, over-current..etc) is detected on any of the driven lamp outputs required for signaling (which will be different for each vehicle region), then the frequency of the flashing signal sent by the BCM to the turn signals is intentionally doubled in speed to indicate an issue. The vehicle can only determine if the issue is for the left or right indicator. It cannot determine if the issue is in the front or rear indicator, so they both must be checked.

BC_w002
BC_w002_rightIndicatorFail
Warning Warning
BC_w002 - right Indicator Fail

Tesla warning code in the BC (BC) module. The right indicator is not functioning as expected and may be flashing faster than normal. If a fault (open, short, over-current..etc) is detected on any of the driven lamp outputs required for signaling (which will be different for each vehicle region), then the frequency of the flashing signal sent by the BCM to the turn signals is intentionally doubled in speed to indicate an issue.
