HV Contactor

Contactor · HV Contactor Relay · Battery & Energy Storage

A high-current electromechanical relay inside the HV battery that connects the pack to the rest of the vehicle. The BMS commands contactor closure through a precharge sequence to limit inrush current. Welded contactors trap HV inside the pack and require service.
